Rodents of Unusual Size - ROUS

Fans of the Princess Bride are familiar with ROUS's or rodents of unusual size. Scientists have found fossil evidence of a ROUS from Uruguay that weighed over a TON. Perhaps not as exciting as a T-Rex but these furry vermin could support a major pest control industry.

Just as an aside, the rat trap photo was taken on Beach Street in Levuka, Fiji. It was Fiji's first capital city. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levuka
