Bringing Sexy Back - to Mining!
Monday, October 27, 2008 at 07:08PM
Kevin Barker thinks outside the box. If you're in the mining industry you should read his Bringing sexy back to mining. Kevin and I spent some time touring copper deposits in Chile and I've become an avid reader of his posts at The BarkerLetter.
When you think about it, there are lots of fascinating angles to mining. Exploration geology, travel, geopolitics, risk and reward, etc.
The industry almost always speaks to itself. So you’ve got everybody trying to sell to the same bunch of tired, beaten up investors. Is this a good IR strategy during the current era of buyer exhaustion?

Thanks for the link to The BarkerLetter. I hadn't come across him yet. I got here from when you twittered this yesterday.
I think he's on to something. Bringing the Sexy back into the mining industry would go a long way for it's image and excite new investors.
Right now the buzz is that central bankers are sexy so we have our work cut out for us.
LOL You put anyone in a suit and tie and they look good.
