Your Chance to Ask the Experts

I inadvertently deleted this post while fiddling with the comments so this is a repost. I've added the questions I received by email in the comments section.

On Sunday, January 25th at 8:30am I will be the Master of Ceremonies for the Eye Opener Panel at the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference. As you can see from the bios below, the panel consists of some very bright minds.

I am inviting you to submit questions that I can ask this panel. Just send me your question in an email and I’ll make sure to ask the experts for you.
I will summarize the answers for you next week.

8:30am Eye Opener Panel

Marin Katusa, Casey Research
Marin Katusa, an accomplished investment analyst, is the senior editor of Casey Energy Opportunities, Casey Energy Confidential, and the Casey 50. He left a successful teaching career to pursue analyzing and investing in junior resource companies. In addition, he is a member of the Vancouver Angel Forum where he and his colleagues evaluate early seed investment opportunities. Marin also manages a portfolio of international real estate projects. Using advanced mathematical skills, he has created a diagnostic resource market tool that analyzes and compares hundreds of investment variables. Through his own investments, Marin has established a network of relationships with many of the key players in the junior resource sector in Vancouver. Marin has the connections, the mathematical and analytical acumen to bring the best investment ideas and most promising private placement offerings to Casey Research subscribers.

Louis James,  Casey Research
Senior Editor Metals Division

Louis James’ background in physics, economics, and technical writing prepared him well for his role as senior editor of the International Speculator and Casey Investment Alert. Like Doug Casey, Louis constantly travels the world, visiting highly prospective geological targets, grilling management and company geologists, and interviewing natives in a variety of languages to find out what they really think (he’s fluent in French and Spanish, and speaks a little German and Russian).

Whether it’s days of back-to-back meetings with mining company executives in Vancouver, pounding on rocks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, examining drill core in Argentina, or eating food with names he can’t pronounce with local miners in China, Louis is constantly looking for the next double-your-money winner.

He evaluates dozens of companies every month, conducts due diligence of only the best, and then compares notes with Doug in order to bring only those most likely to provide rapid high returns to our subscribers’ attention. Louis also reads all the press releases, financial statements, and an enormous quantity of related information to keep track of all of our mineral companies and has become something of a walking database on same.

Peter Spina, GoldSeek.com
Peter Spina’s experience with the precious metal markets started back in the mid-1990s, which led to the creation of GoldSeek.com back in 1995. Today GoldSeek.com ranks in the top three most popular global gold websites and its sister site, SilverSeek.com ranks as the most visited silver website in the world. Back at the start of the new secular precious metals bull market, Peter established the technically-focused subscription newsletter, Gold Seeker Report, which at the start of 2005 was merged into the more comprehensive Gold Forecaster (goldforecaster.com) service. In addition to the newsletter and websites, Peter frequently appears in the media including MarketWatch, Reuters, and theStreet.com.

Leonard Melman, The Melman Report
Leonard has been writing regarding precious and base metals for more than two decades as monthly columnist for California-based “ICMJ’s Prospecting and MINING Journal” and Vancouver’s “Resource World Magazine”, focusing on how political and financial considerations impact the world of mining and the prices of the metals. Mr. Melman has also contributed commentary and corporate studies to other publications including Resource Stock Investor and Western Standard Magazine.

He has visited and reported on mining operations on four continents and his articles  appear on numerous mining websites. During his past, Mr. Melman has gained valuable knowledge and experience in previous careers as manager of multi-million dollar consumer lending operations and as a securities and commodity broker.

Leonard is presently working on his first book “The Eight Pillars of Gold” due to be released in the latter part of 2007.

Once again, just send me a question to ask one (or all) of these experts (you can use the comments section below) and I’ll get back to you with some answers next week.
