Vinyl Loonies Protest

According to the Vinyl Institute, vinyl results from a series of processing steps that convert hydrocarbon-based raw materials (petroleum, natural gas or coal) into unique synthetic products called polymers.

A clever attention seeking project by The Dogwood Initiative is putting stickers made of a petroleum by-product (vinyl go figure!) on Canadian loony coins. According to a Calgary Herald article, the stickers are part of a campaign against oil tankers off B. C.'s northern coast.

The oil deniers are at it again.
