Perspective on Madoff from The Wolf of Wall Street

Jordan Belfort wrote The Wolf of Wall Street (along with Catching the Wolf of Wall Street - coming out shortly)  which documented some of his crazy antics while the CEO of brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont. Jordan served 22 months in federal prison (where he was a cell mate of Tommy Chong's).

Jordan's personal journey makes him uniquely qualified to comment on the Bernie Madoff scandal.

I’m willing to bet that, in the beginning, he wasn’t looking to scam anyone. In fact, what makes his Ponzi scheme so unusual is that he wasn’t promising his investors extraordinarily high returns; he was promising them extraordinarily consistent returns (a bit over one percent per month).

Check out Jordan's blog for an in depth analysis of the Bernie Madoff scandal. We're looking forward to more blog posts from Jordan.
